reDesign has tremendous resources for learning activities, skills development, formative tasks, teaching resources, performance tasks, and mastery learning.  I highly recommend this site as a treasure trove for brainstorming learning assessments, and activity models that you can customize with any content at any grade level.

UDL.jpg

Universal Design for Learning  is a theory and practice doctrine written by Anne Myer, David Rose, and David Gordon.  UDL is produced by CAST.  The the theme of the UDL doctrine is to create a learning environment where students are free to take ownership of their learning and may demonstrate proficiency in learning in a way personally meaningful to them.  The UDL theory is applicable at any grade level or content.
